Hi, I’m Ruth
The heart behind It’s Sew My Party.
If you’re here, chances are you’re looking for something more than a typical birthday party. You want an experience your child will talk about long after the decorations come down. That’s exactly why I created It’s Sew My Party.
What started as one special luxury sleepover party for my daughter quickly turned into something much bigger. Friends began asking for help creating celebrations for their own children, and before long, a business was born.
Today, I have the privilege of helping families create unforgettable memories through luxury sleepover parties, kids workshops, and one-of-a-kind party experiences designed around what your child loves most.
But before any of that, I spent more than a decade working in the fashion industry after graduating from FIDM in 2004 with a degree in Fashion Design. That background taught me how to take an idea and bring it to life through creativity, customization, attention to detail, and craftsmanship.
And that’s exactly what I do for every party.
Whether your child dreams of a magical sleepover, a hands on workshop, or a theme you’ve never seen before, I love creating celebrations that feel uniquely theirs.
Why Is It Called “It’s Sew My Party”?
I get asked this all the time!
No, we don’t teach sewing classes.
The name actually has a special meaning and tells the story of what makes our parties different.
The “SO” in It’s Sew My Party
The word “Sew” is a play on the word “So.”
Because every celebration is customized around your child.
Their favorite colors.
Their favorite theme.
Their favorite activities.
Their favorite people.
It’s SO their party.
And we say “My Party” because we want every child to feel like the entire experience was created just for them.
The “SEW” in It’s Sew My Party
The word “Sew” also honors my background in fashion design and the craftsmanship behind what we create.
Unlike many sleepover companies that use air mattresses, our signature luxury sleepover setups feature handcrafted sewn pillow beds that families consistently tell us are far more comfortable.
Sewing is also what allows us to bring custom ideas to life. If your child dreams up something you’ve never seen before, there’s a good chance I can create it.
It’s also why personalization is such an important part of our business.
Many of our clients choose custom embroidery on robes, tote bags, jacket pockets, placemats, pillowcases, and other keepsakes that become treasured memories long after the party ends.
For me, the word “Sew” represents creativity, craftsmanship, personalization, and bringing ideas to life.
And that’s at the heart of everything we do.
